This position is for a travel IR Tech at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. The shift is from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM, with five shifts per week totaling 40 scheduled hours. The job order starts on 08/10/2026 and ends on 11/09/2026, lasting 13 weeks. The IR Tech will cross-post for JOB ID #3333061. Orientation is every Monday, with 5x8-hour days from 07:00 to 15:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 5x8-hour days from 09:00 to 17:30 on Wednesday. Locals within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate. The candidate must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms. IR experience is required, along with ARRT-R, ACLS, BLS, and fluoro permit. An MD license is required, and two years of experience are needed, including travel experience. Every other holiday is required, with no on-call or weekends. The unit handles cases in CT and X-ray, but floating to these areas is not required. Scrubbing for IR, vascular, and pain procedures is mandatory, and proficiency in operating the Philips Azurion C-arm and the portable C-arm is required.

Procedural types include: Interventional: Tunneled catheter placements (e.g., mediports, permcaths, Hickman lines), embolizations, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, PEG tube placements, and Pleurx catheter placements. Pain Management: Epidural blocks, radiofrequency ablations. Vascular: Angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, IVC filter placements.
