Location: Newark, NJJob Type: Part-TimeHourly Rate: $23.00Job Summary:The Residential Groundskeeper Landscaper is responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of the aesthetic appeal of various outdoor environments, encompassing both residential and commercial properties. This role involves the application of specialized landscaping techniques and the proficient operation of equipment to perform a broad spectrum of tasks, including planting, garden maintenance, lawn care, and outdoor construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in landscaping and horticulture, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results that align with client expectations.Key Responsibilities:Execute a variety of landscaping tasks, including planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and lawn care, to maintain the health and visual integrity of gardens and green spaces.Safely and efficiently operate a range of landscaping equipment and machinery, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and tillers.Install and maintain irrigation systems to optimize water distribution and efficiency.Collaborate with clients to assess landscaping needs and provide tailored recommendations for enhancements.Design and implement landscape layouts and features such as flower beds, walkways, and patios.Monitor plant health and adeptly diagnose issues related to pests, diseases, or environmental factors.Assist with seasonal landscaping duties, including snow removal during winter and leaf cleanup in the fall.Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.Accurately document completed work, materials utilized, and time spent on various tasks.Provide training and mentorship to junior landscaping staff as needed.Schedule:This part-time position may offer potential overtime during peak seasons.
