Purchasing Clerk

Our client, a leading organization in the Oil and Gas sector, is seeking a Payroll and Purchasing Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset that will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Payroll and Purchasing Coordinator Schedule: Part time 24 hours/week, three days a week onsite (worker preference) Location: Spring, TX Pay Rate: $47 What’s the Job? Working with managers to validate vendor timesheets and invoices for approval. Opening and managing POs for third party services. Role is 70% payrolling, 30% invoicing. Process requisitions and convert them into purchase orders daily to meet operational needs. Collect and evaluate written proposals from vendors as necessary. Address invoice discrepancies related to purchase orders and approve invoice payments. Coordinate with strategic buyers on project or turnaround purchases and potential bundling opportunities. What’s Needed? Bachelors degree in finance or related field 5 years experience processing payroll and POs Knowledge of process improvements Experience working with 3rd party vendors Must have SAP, Outlook, and Sharepoint; interpersonal communication – working with global managers and engineers; 5+ years payrolling and invoicing experience Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
