Adjunct Instructor - Psychology [Wise County Campus] This position is a part-time adjunct faculty appointment with a security-sensitive designation and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check. Males between the ages of 18 and 25 must be registered with the Selective Service System to be eligible for employment. Position Summary Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position. Applicants are added to a pool for consideration when an opening arises. Primary duties include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of specific learning outcomes, mentoring students inside and outside the classroom, maintaining an effective learning environment across face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, Zoom, or dual credit modalities, and attending adjunct faculty meetings. Responsibilities Teach courses in the approved discipline, using face-to-face, hybrid, online, or dual credit instruction modes. Provide timely feedback and respond to student communications in a timely manner. Assess student performance and submit final grades on time. Observe College policies, procedures, and uphold professional and ethical standards. Attend adjunct faculty meetings and complete required training. Perform related duties as assigned by the department. Qualifications Minimum of a Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the discipline (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards). Transcripts, certificates, and/or licenses must be submitted with the application. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated ability to instruct in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses. Ability to create a professional and effective learning environment and communicate effectively with students, college personnel, and the public. Ability to exercise the highest professional and ethical standards and observe College policies and procedures.
