Assembler

The Assembler assembles and performs visual inspection of parts and package parts for shipment to customers. You also follow established production/process specifications or instructions. The Assembler also performs manual packaging operations to fill, mark, label, ban, tie pack and/or wrap containers with products and materials.

Schedule & Compensation:

Plastech Corporation pays on a weekly basis. This position is scheduled Monday thru Friday.

Hours Available:

• 1st Shift • 7:00am to 3:30pm • $16.00 per hour

*** External candidates receive a $300 BONUS after 90 days of employment (must meet performance and attendance requirements).

Essential Functions:

• Properly assemble, pack, label and stack each shipping container with finished product. Maintain assembly labor tickets and box count to ensure customer receives accurate order.
• Visually inspect each part, compare parts to start-up to ensure customer receives a quality product.
• Read, understand and follow picture packet procedures, operate a variety of machines to complete product to customer specification.
• Assist other operators as directed by the supervisor, and ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):

Knowledge, Education, Experience and/or Certifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is helpful but not required.

Skills & Abilities:

• Read and interpret documents such as Picture Packet, procedure manual, and safety rules.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Fill out general communication paperwork in written form legibly so as to be understood.
