Responsibilities Alan B. Miller Medical Center opening in Spring 2026! A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS' growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.

Pharmacy Technician PRN Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications Pharmacy Technician Job Requirements: Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical School/1 Year College preferred. Technical School/2 Years College / Associate’s Degree preferred. Experience: 1-3 years acute care hospital experience required. Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology required. Experience stocking, optimizing, and troubleshooting automated dispensing cabinets preferred. Experience compounding IV medications, hazardous medications, and non-sterile medications preferred. Skills: Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Good interpersonal skills. Effective communications skills, both verbal and written Attention to detail. Ability to escalate safety concerns immediately to supervising pharmacists and follow Chain-of-Command. License / Certification: Active Pharmacy Technician License in the State of Florida is required. Active Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and/or NHA (ExCPT) certification is preferred. Pharmacy Intern License is acceptable. A (PTCB) certification would not be required as a result. Travel Requirements: N/A
