Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles USA. As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our companys databases to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This is a contract role with potential for extension and visa sponsorship for qualified candidates. If you are a self-motivated individual with strong technical skills in database management. Responsibilities Design, implement and maintain databases for various applications and systems Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency Identify and troubleshoot any issues or errors within the databases Develop backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement database changes or upgrades Perform regular data maintenance tasks such as data cleaning and archiving Develop and maintain database documentation including procedures, policies and standards Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role In-depth knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL etc Experience with database design, data modeling and performance tuning Familiarity with database security protocols and best practices Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Preferred Certification in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server administration Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database We offer a competitive salary of $1000 per month for this contract position.
