Senior Product Manager Data Platform

Overview Echodyne offers the worlds first compact solid-state true beam-steering radar for a wide range of industries and applications. Our radar technology enables autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft & drones, and security for borders, critical infrastructure, and smart cities. Echodyne combines metamaterials with software to create high-performance radars at commercial price points. Echodyne is seeking a Sr. Product Manager - Data Platform to join our fast-growing team. ROLE OVERVIEW This role is responsible for ensuring data is collected, managed, and used in a way that enables operational effectiveness while meeting security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, research, legal, and customers, balancing the need for high-quality data usage with safeguarding sensitive information. Building customer trust through disciplined data governance and transparent data handling practices is core to this role. RESPONSIBILITIES Define and own the roadmap and success metrics for our data platform that supports radar performance, analytics, and operational insights. Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritization decisions. Partner closely with engineering and data teams to deliver secure, reliable and scalable data capabilities. Define policies for data security, access, retention, usage, and deletion in alignment with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Partner with customers to define what data is required, how it will be transmitted, stored, and used, and why it is necessary. Clearly communicate our data handling practices to give customers confidence that sensitive and regulated data is protected. Serve as a trusted point of contact for data-related questions, concerns, and escalations. Evangelize best practices for data governance, security, and customer trust across the organization. REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on data platform products. Demonstrated experience working with sensitive, regulated, or customer-controlled data. Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and privacy principles. Experience collaborating with government customers or operating in regulated industries. Ability to communicate complex data and security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making thoughtful tradeoffs. Collaborative, detail-oriented, and customer-centric mindset. DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Experience with government or defense-related compliance frameworks (e.g., ITAR, EAR, SOC 2, FedRAMP, NIST). Familiarity with classified, controlled unclassified information (CUI), or export-controlled data. Background in radar systems, sensors, aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical technologies. Technical background in data engineering, analytics, or distributed systems.
