As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Associate in Suffolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
• Support day-to-day operations by maintaining awareness of changing site conditions, assisting with routine inquiries, and communicating clearly during security-related events and/or escalated situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
