Director, Medical Safety Officer, Oncology

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director, Medical Safety Officer for Oncology to lead cross-functional safety teams and assess benefit-risk profiles for assigned pharmaceutical products. The role requires strategic oversight of safety surveillance, risk management, and regulatory communications across marketed and development-stage therapies in hematology.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety Management Teams for assigned products including surveillance and signal detection
• Provide medical expertise on Compound Development Teams and clinical protocols
• Develop and contribute to regulatory documents including risk management plans and clinical study reports
• Communicate safety findings and benefit-risk assessments to leadership, health authorities, and stakeholders
• Oversee contractors and staff preparing safety evaluations and assessments

Requirements

• Physician (MD or equivalent degree)
• 2-5 years of pharmacovigilance experience
• Medical and scientific expertise in product safety assessment
• Experience with regulatory documentation and health authority interactions
• Leadership capability for cross-functional matrix teams
• Knowledge of risk management strategies and mitigation approaches
