About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills Description: Unit consists of 28 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretary, PCTs, and Case Management are available on the unit. The unit utilizes equipment such as walkers, IV pumps, and SCDs. Documentation is performed using a Meditech system. Scheduling requires 4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule, as well as participation in the holiday rotation. Floating policies are in place, and staff may be required to float to other units. Patient experience requirements are met through effective communication, with a target of 72%. Advanced skills in Medical-Surgical nursing are necessary, including experience with various respiratory diseases, renal disease, GI illnesses, tele, central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips. Experience in Oncology and general surgery is preferred but not required. The dress code mandates navy blue scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided to candidates.
