Major Duties of the Position: Provide high-quality vascular surgical services in our progressive, innovative health care system for the veteran outpatient population. Deliver patient-centered diagnostic and therapeutic vascular surgical care in an outpatient setting. Develop and implement individualized care plans to address the specific vascular surgical needs of patients. Perform and interpret various vascular surgical procedures, including endovascular repairs, arterial reconstructions, bypass grafts, and other related surgeries. Collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive vascular care, including cases that may require multidisciplinary management. Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to educational development programs affiliated with the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and research, and be eligible for a faculty appointment in the Department of Surgery at the University of New Mexico. Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for outpatient vascular surgery patients. VA Offers a Comprehensive Total Rewards Package: VHA Physician Total Rewards.
