1. Provide an escalation point for Deposit and Reconciliation issues.
2. Focus on deposit and reconciliation processes.
3. Educate associates and clients; provide subject matter expertise for deposit and reconciliation processes.
4. Approve funding requests and balance daily backups.
5. Decide on SOP changes and communicate with the Audit and Compliance team.
6. Respond to SAS70 documentation requests.
7. Coordinate testing for deposit and reconciliation processes for updated interfaces.
8. Identify process improvements and communicate to management; support changes.
9. Conduct audit variance analysis and escalate or analyze issues as needed.
10. Review EFT setup to ensure deposits are configured for EFT payments where applicable.
11. Monitor metrics, identify process issues, and suggest resolutions to management.
12. Coordinate and/or provide training for new associates or processes.
13. Meet periodically with SDM to report metrics and ongoing issues.
14. Support the onboarding of new clients and facilitate offshore tasks for TFSS clients.
15. Support/oversee ongoing operations offshore.
16. Compile, report, and analyze metrics and financial data.
17. Assist in testing and maintaining tax filing software (MasterTax).
18. Back up the manager for financials and monthly reporting.
19. Create and implement new processes for the Canadian area.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in Tax Filing Shared Services.
• Process knowledge of deposit, reconciliation, and agency relations.
• High-level understanding of all Tax Filing Shared Services processes.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize independently.
• Knowledge of agency requirements for payroll tax filing, deposits, and returns.
• Proven research skills for issue resolution.
• Financial experience is preferred but not required.
