Role Overview As a Nursing Assistant at CHMC, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your work will directly support patient well-being and the overall efficiency of the unit, ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of care. This role is essential in maintaining a positive and healing environment for our patients and their families. What You Will Do Assist in providing basic patient care, including taking vital signs, hygiene activities, feeding, bathing, and post-mortem care. Administer basic treatments such as preparing procedure setups, measuring intake and output, and applying cold/heat packs. Respond to call lights promptly, distribute water and linens, locate equipment, and stock supplies. Assist in transporting patients and specimens, and obtain pharmacy orders as needed. Support unit operations by performing non-clinical duties assigned by the RN. Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality protocols. What You Will Need Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Current AHA BLS certification or obtain within the first week of hire through HEART CODE.
