Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Perform post-operative recovery monitoring for surgical patients, including orthopedic (spine, joint), gynecological, and cath lab procedures
• Monitor and manage patients post-elective cardiac procedures including post-PCI, post-pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion, and re-vascularization
• Care for patients presenting with stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips at set rates, including heparin titration
• Utilize telemetry monitoring equipment and document care using the unit's electronic medical record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience (2 years preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac nursing experience
• Prior experience with Meditech or CPN electronic medical record systems
