Quality Technician

Quality TechnicianThe Quality Technician will provide focus and leadership for all quality related issues within the plant.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain all quality control procedures and policiesProvide hands on quality support and guidance to all staffEnsure product meets customer specifications and expectationsComplete quality checks and supply quality support to all levels of the businessAssist in processing data for SAP and reporting monthly KPI informationAssist with maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS)Statistically analyse quality data/results to facilitate problem solvingCreate customer COA'sInvestigate and assist in determining the root cause and corrective actions for customer complaintsClose out actions from internal and external auditsConduct training if neededOrganize trials for new productsSupport and drive continuous improvement throughout the plantCoordinate and participate in rework activityManage raw material COA's, incoming inspections and record keepingComply with company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP practices and Global Food Safety practices.Other duties as assigned by managerCompetencies & QualificationsRecognized academic or professional qualification and should be able to demonstrate strong experience in quality assurance and process improvementManufacturing experience in related industry in a quality role (blow mold, extrusion, injection, stretch)Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as TQM, 6-Sigma and EHS StandardsAbility to handle changing prioritiesAbility to work independently or within a teamProactive and creative problem solver with proven ability to multitask and manage deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient with MS Word, Excel, InfinityOS, SPCA working knowledge of FSSC/GFSI, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 & ISO 22002-4
