Job Details Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry Employment Type: Travel Contract Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Start Date: 9/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours accepted Orientation: 24 hours Target Patient Ratio: 1:5-6 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 - $1,750 Schedule: Based on unit needs Weekend Requirement: Required Floating: Required Scrubs: Navy/White Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry experience BLS certification required Experience with telemetry remote monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation Comfortable working with IV insulin protocols and heparin management Experience with Epic preferred Must be open to floating within and near the facility as needed Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical telemetry patients Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Administer medications and manage therapies such as IV insulin and heparin protocols Support patients with common medical/surgical diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, anemia, and GI bleed Perform and manage nursing interventions including IV starts, line care, wound care, oxygen support, and isolation precautions Collaborate with rapid response, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary care teams Document care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR Adapt to unit needs, maintain flexibility, and deliver safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital nursing environment Apply now for this Travel RN job in Wilmington, NC and join a healthcare team committed to excellent patient care.
