Detail Tech Team Lead – Lexington Location: Lexington, NC Job Id: 292 # of Openings: 1 Requirements: Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation Interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient in using technology and software applications related to scheduling, inventory management, and reporting Education High school diploma or equivalent required Additional training or certification in automotive detailing or management is a plus Competitive compensation and performance‑based bonuses Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday pay Opportunities for career growth and advancement Company‑sponsored training and development programs Performance / Customer Satisfaction Lead a team in providing high‑quality services to clients Ensure all work is completed on time to the highest standard Assist employees in all phases of their job descriptions when overburdened or absent Train and develop team members to improve their skills and performance Monitor team performance and provide feedback Manage team schedules and ensure all work is assigned and completed efficiently Perform a quality inspection on every service Measure and monitor shop productivity, turn times, efficiency, and proficiency through visual and written inspections Deal with common customer inconveniences, complaints, and misunderstandings fairly and quickly Communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met and they are satisfied with services provided Develop and maintain healthy working relationships with customers Train staff to handle customer complaints tactfully Prepare and review invoices daily and check for accuracy prior to submission Photograph new and pre‑owned vehicles after proper training Counsel and discipline employees, as necessary, to assure adherence to company policies Report discipline issues to the area manager Train, motivate, counsel, and monitor performance on both an individual and group basis Attend sales meetings weekly Perform other tasks as directed Safety / Compliance Read, understand, and ensure adherence to company policy Report any situation or condition jeopardizing safety, welfare, security, or reputation to upper management Maintain shop cleanliness, equipment repairs, key management, asset control, and general shop appearance Perform monthly safety inspections on shop equipment to ensure safe working condition Represent the company in emergencies or as directed Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operation Investigate and report all accidents or incidents involving damage or injury Ensure compliance with company policies regarding accidents, including drug testing and workers’ compensation claims Understand employment policies related to FMLA, workers’ compensation, and absences; communicate them to HR or supervisor Enforce the company’s “No Harassment” policy and report violations to Operations or HR Manager This position requires regular physical activity including standing, walking, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, and working in loud environments. It also involves exposure to strong chemical smells, occasional sitting, lifting or moving up to 75 pounds, and the need for specific vision abilities like close and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
