Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to low and high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients within a Family Birth Center setting
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Fetal Link for patient documentation and fetal heart rate surveillance
• Operate within California nurse-to-patient ratios (1:4 antepartum/postpartum; 1:1 active labor)
• Participate in weekend shift rotation (3 weekends per 4-week schedule) and integrate into the permanent staff holiday rotation
• Float to Postpartum (couplet care) and, if applicable, to a feeder/grower NICU population based on prior experience
• Complete a proctored, onsite Dysrhythmia Test on the first day of assignment (pass/fail)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery Charge Nurse or L&D Nurse Manager experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced AWHONN certifications
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and fetal monitoring systems
• Ability to pass an onsite proctored Dysrhythmia Test on day one

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience circulating in an OR setting within a Labor and Delivery or Family Birth Center environment
• Prior experience caring for feeder/grower NICU patients
• Familiarity with Phillips fetal heart monitoring systems
