Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM – 9:00 PM department hours. No weekends. No holidays. Staff typically work one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule. Shift options include 12-hour shifts (5:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM) and 8-hour shifts (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, 5:15 AM – 1:45 PM, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM, 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).

• 29-bed outpatient surgery department providing pre-operative and post-operative care
• Services include outpatient surgery, endoscopy, and pain management procedures
• Diverse case mix: neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, general surgery, and vascular procedures
• EMR: Cerner charting system experience required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Work-life balance with no weekend or holiday coverage required

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Minimum 1 year of recent perioperative or PACU nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system
• Experience with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
