Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in Prescott, Arizona. This role involves working on a telemetry unit with adult patients experiencing medical conditions such as COVID-19, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal problems, diabetes, cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), transient ischemic attacks (TIA), as well as general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients. The RN will be responsible for interpreting telemetry strips, assisting with patient care, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts start at 7:00 PM and end at 7:30 AM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The schedule is set for four weeks, utilizing self-scheduling with managerial balancing.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a registered nurse in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting; Arizona nursing license or the ability to obtain one; experience reading basic telemetry strips, with some familiarity with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA. Cerner charting experience recommended.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemonitoring, remote telemetry interpretation, and multi-unit staffing.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, including to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified.
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes electronic charting via Cerner system. Orientation includes one shift on the unit. Staffing requirements include working two weekends per four-week schedule and holiday shifts on Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving, with arrangements of two days and one evening or two evenings and one day for each holiday. No call or standby is required. Dress code is navy blue scrubs.
