TRANSACTIONS SPECIALIST

Under the general direction of the Payroll & Benefits Manager, Supervisor I, the Limited Term Senior Personnel Specialist will perform a variety of complex administrative tasks. All work is to be completed in accordance with security regulations and directives in dealing with confidential and sensitive material, civil service laws, and rules utilizing the California Code of Regulations, Personnel Management Policy and Procedures Manual (PMLs), CalHR Pay Letters, and CalHR (SPB) Pinkies, the Selection Manual, and Federal Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection. Typical tasks include leading, organizing, planning, and assisting staff in the general operations of the Civil Rights Department's Human Resources Branch (HRB).


In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This program temporarily reduces employees' monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027. This position is located at 651 Bannon Street #200, Sacramento, CA 95811.

This position is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
