Maintenance Planner

Location Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States Description Immediate opening for a Maintenance Planner responsible for maintenance planning, inventory processes, and operational support. This role ensures the continued operation of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment by coordinating planned maintenance, preventive maintenance, and work order backlog based on production and maintenance requirements. Schedule Monday – Friday / 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Responsibilities Manage preventive and predictive maintenance program to maintain efficient equipment operation Prepare, review, update, and close maintenance work orders through SAP or an established program Manage and coordinate work order backlog to establish execution schedules based on production and maintenance requirements Schedule and manage daily and weekly maintenance activity schedules Create purchase orders to procure parts and production supplies, including price negotiation Maintain inventory of maintenance department parts and production supplies, and oversee inventory control and purchasing approval coordination Maintain an up‑to‑date library of machine manuals, prints, and schematics Manage SAP or applicable system, including entity, vendor, and equipment setup Prepare maintenance financial, statistical, and technical reports, including equipment history and open order updates Collaborate with maintenance staff to continuously improve programs by editing tasks and frequencies when approved by the manager Maintain safe working conditions for employees and comply with all health and safety regulations Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements Other duties may be assigned as required Benefits 401(k) with company contribution Competitive pay Paid vacation and holidays Career growth opportunities – promotion from within Service recognition and employee rewards Employee referral program Uniforms provided Work for dairy farm families Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred 2–4 years of MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul), manufacturing, or related work experience Must pass all pre‑employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks Ability to inspect equipment, identify potential problems, and take corrective action to prevent component failures or downtime Proficient in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in various units of measure Proficient with basic hand tools Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend throughout the shift, with occasional climbing or balancing required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to work in a cold, wet environment with moderate to high noise levels Ability to tolerate exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, or allergens Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans #J-18808-Ljbffr
