Middle School Elementary School Physical Therapist | Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Desired Qualifications:

Masters degree in Physical Therapy required
Active Louisiana State Physical Therapist license
Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, educators, and families
Strong organizational ability and adaptability across various age groups and student needs
Commitment to promoting inclusive, positive educational experiences

Key Responsibilities:

Provide physical therapy evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver services to students from elementary through high school
Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and other school-based professionals to support individualized education program (IEP) goals
Monitor student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain detailed documentation compliant with state and district requirements
Educate school staff and families about mobility, safety, and strategies to maximize student independence within the school setting
Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and ongoing professional development activities
