Job Title School Clerk Location McCarthy Middle School, Chelmsford, Massachusetts Job Description We are seeking a highly organized, observant, and welcoming clerk to serve as the vital first point of contact at our 7th and 8th grade school. You will operate independently from the secure visitor vestibule to ensure a safe, secure, and friendly environment. Responsibilities include operating the electric visitor check‑in system, verifying identification, monitoring access, and providing general support to the main office. The ideal candidate enforces school safety protocols professionally, interacts positively with middle schoolers and their families, and maintains a calm, welcoming atmosphere during busy school days. Starting Date: Aug 31, 2026 Terms of Employment Full‑time: 6.5 hours daily, 190 days. Salary: $27,313 per year, as per collective bargaining agreement. Qualifications Positive attitude and ability to work well on a team. Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor. Clear, calm communication with middle school‑aged children, families, and staff. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
