Job Description:

Class A CDL Driver Flat Bed – Crane Support

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Class A CDL Drivers to support a local Crane Department by transporting crane components and assisting with on-site crane operations.

This role requires a balance of driving responsibilities and hands-on field work. While most assignments are local, some overnight travel will be required. We offer competitive pay based on experience, along with one of the best benefits packages in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transport crane components using various trailer types (step deck, flatbed, lowboy, etc.)
2. Safely maneuver and back trucks into tight and challenging job site locations
3. Assist with the assembly and disassembly of cranes on-site
4. Ensure proper load securement in compliance with safety standards
5. Accurately track time and job tasks using company-issued tablet and ATOM software
6. Maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations using electronic logbooks
7. Collaborate with crane crews in a fast-paced job site environment

Requirements

1. Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
2. Experience operating step deck, lowboy, and/or flatbed trailers
3. Ability to lift and move 50–70 lbs
4. Willingness to perform manual labor
5. Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and operating in confined spaces
6. Flexibility to work all shifts, including nights and weekends
7. Ability to travel overnight (up to 3–4 consecutive days as needed)
8. Strong work ethic; dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
9. Prior crane experience is a plus but not required

Work Breakdown

1. 25% Driving
2. 50% Manual labor (crane assembly/disassembly)
3. 25% Wait time / standby on job sites

Additional Details

1. Per diem and hotel accommodations provided for overnight travel
