Quality Inspector II - Machined PartsAGH Industries, a division of Aereos, LLC, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector II to support aerospace, defense, and ground support programs. The Quality Inspector II performs receiving, in-process, and final inspection of machined parts and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. This role is for a seasoned inspector who can work independently from day one in an AS9100 aerospace quality environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform receiving, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections against drawings, routers, and inspection plansRead and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T callouts, and apply them accurately during inspectionInspect parts using standard precision tools: calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin and thread gages, bore gages, indicators, and surface platesPerform and document First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102Record inspection results accurately in inspection reports and the quality systemIdentify, tag, and segregate nonconforming material, and write and document nonconformance reports (NCRs)Verify that travelers, material certifications, and required documentation are complete and correct before product moves forwardVerify gage calibration status before each useCommunicate inspection findings clearly to machinists, supervisors, and Quality EngineeringFollow AS9100D procedures, FOD prevention, and safety practicesKeep inspection areas clean and organized (5S)Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED5+ years of hands-on inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environmentProficient with precision measuring instruments, with accurate and repeatable resultsStrong blueprint reading skills and working knowledge of GD&TSolid shop math, including fractions, decimals, and metric/imperial conversionsStrong attention to detail and disciplined documentation habitsAble to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishMust be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.62), meaning a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). This is required because the role involves access to export-controlled technical data.Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systemBasic computer skills (Excel, ERP and/or quality software)Preferred QualificationsAS9100 aerospace or defense manufacturing experienceExperience performing and documenting AS9102 First Article InspectionsExposure to CMM, optical comparators, or vision systemsBlueprint reading or inspection certificate from a trade school or community collegePhysical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periodsLift up to 35 lbsGood near vision, with or without correctionWear required PPE, including safety glasses, on the shop floorAGH Industries / Aereos, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
