BASIC FUNCTION: Under the guidance and oversight of the District Community Schools Coordinator, independently perform and accomplish highly technical administrative and staff duties related to the coordination and participation in collaborative leadership with the assigned community school, administrators, and school teams in the establishment and development of the Community Schools program pillars and structures; lead the work of identified staff.

CURRENT VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS:

Working Location: Chavez Elementary – 1404 South 40th Street, San Diego, CA 92113 Work Schedule: 12 months / 40 hours Salary: Paid on the OTB Salary Schedule, Grade 054 Positions greater than 20 hours per week qualify for district-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and eligible dependents Bilingual – English/Spanish required. Qualified candidates will be invited to a performance test for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in communications, social services, education, school counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution Five (5) years of recent, progressively responsible experience working with students and families in the TK‑12 educational system or with organizations serving school communities Experience in establishing community partnerships to support the development of comprehensive school systems and structures (highly preferred) Application Information Applicants must submit a completed online employment application with all required attachments by the closing date.
