Job Description

This position is for a healthcare professional with at least one year of experience. The role involves providing care for a variety of patients, including both adults and pediatrics, in a fast-paced environment. The average daily census is 105, with a total of 20 rooms and 26 beds available.

Patient Care and Unit Details

• Daily Census: 105
• Number of Visits Per Day: 135
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: 1 year minimum
• Nursing Licensure: California state license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC
• Experience with Charting System: Epic experience preferred

Skills Required

• Assessment and management of various medical conditions, including abdominal pain, asthma, and respiratory infections
• IV management, including starting and maintaining IVs, blood product administration, and administering emergency medications
• Experience with trauma, neuro-trauma, and psychiatric conditions
• Triage and patient stabilization in emergency situations
• Care for ventilated patients and management of dysrhythmias

Requirements

• Must be willing to float between sister facilities as needed
• Availability to work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All time off requests should be made at the time of application
