Job Title Speech Language Pathologist – Travel Location Kirkland, Washington Schedule Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts Day shift Employment Type Travel Job Description We are looking for a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Kirkland, WA. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. You will assist patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluate and develop a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Tasks Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients. Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders. Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Requirements Minimum 6 months of experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply). 1 year of experience preferred. BLS and ASHA‑SLP National Certification with state‑specific licensing. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, and to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Compensation Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week, subject to confirmation, with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
