Responsibilities The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. They work within the organization’s policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability. The nurse maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality care. Overview Sign on bonus available! Qualifications Education Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required) Bachelors Degree (Preferred) Work Experience No experience required (New graduates of a nursing program eligible) – Required Nursing experience in a hospital setting (Preferred) 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications RN – Registered Nurse – mandatory Georgia State licensure or NLC/eNCL multicast license (Required) BCLS – Basic Life Support (Required) Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum) Addendum Cardiac Tele: Mandatory ACLS certification (must be achieved within 180 days) Critical Care: Mandatory ACLS certification (must be achieved within 180 days) Dialysis: Certified Dialysis (CDN) preferred Emergency Department: Mandatory ACLS and PALS certification (must be achieved within 180 days) Infusion/Oncology: Mandatory Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification prior to independent administration (Required upon hire) Pediatrics: Mandatory PALS certification and, where applicable, PEARS or PALS certification – must be achieved within 180 days Surgical Services: Mandatory PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU ACLS; PALS if unit serves pediatrics – must be achieved within 180 days. BLS required within 180 days. Women’s Services: Mandatory Labor and Delivery ACLS, NRP, and other newborn certifications – must be achieved within 180 days.
