About the Position

ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dependable Special Education Paraprofessional for a full-time contract position within a school district in Caldwell, ID. In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with certified special education teachers to provide vital academic, behavioral, and emotional support to students with diverse learning needs. Core Responsibilities
Instructional Support: Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce lessons originally introduced by the lead teacher, ensuring comprehension and engagement.

IEP Implementation: Assist in carrying out individualized accommodations and goals as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Classroom Management: Help maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment; assist with behavior redirection and positive reinforcement strategies.

Material Preparation: Help prepare modified classroom materials, visual schedules, and specialized tools tailored to specific student needs.

Progress Observation: Assist the lead teacher in observing, tracking, and documenting student progress and behavioral milestones.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Certification: Must meet Idaho state requirements for paraprofessionals, which includes a High School Diploma/GED PLUS one of the following:

An Associate’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution.

A minimum of 48 completed core college credits.

A passing score (457 or higher) on the ETS ParaPro Assessment.

Experience: Prior experience working with children or adolescents in a school, daycare, or clinical setting is highly preferred.

Key Skills: Excellent communication, patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting the special education community.

Compliance: Ability to clear state and federal background checks and fingerprinting required by the school district.
