Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialist position available in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves providing specialized intraoperative care for cardiovascular surgeries, with a strong emphasis on cardiac procedures such as open heart surgeries. The position requires experienced healthcare professionals skilled in robotic-assisted procedures and general surgery disciplines within a surgical unit that supports a variety of specialized procedures. Job Details: Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026 with end date of 11/23/2026. Required Qualifications: Valid certifications, applicable clinical experience in operating room intraoperative procedures, including cardiac, neuro, and general surgery. Experience with robotics procedures and OR intraoperative skills is essential. Basic intraoperative skills required; advanced skills preferred. Experience in orthopedic, neuro, and general scrub procedures desired. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in radiologic or surgical technology is preferred; experience in cardiac surgery is highly advantageous. Additional Information: The unit has 9 operating room suites and 1 gynecology suite, staffed with RNs and operating room techs. The team utilizes Meditech documentation system and works under unit-specific policies. The unit has new equipment and technology, with a focus on robotics-assisted procedures and diverse surgical specialties. Scrubs are provided; professional attire must adhere to hospital dress code. Float: Float rotation may be required depending on staffing needs.
