Press Operator

Conco Services LLC is looking for a Press Operator for our Verona, PA location.

Position Summary:

You will be working in a manufacturing setting operating machining equipment to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the set-ups, conventional, special purpose and numerical control machines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive understanding of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements;
• Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining;
• Manufacturing of die parts (punches, die sections, forming details, etc.) by utilizing department equipment;
• Moderate ability to operate and maintain stamping press, vertical mill, surface grinding and other general machining skills;
• Adaptability to perform duties and work overtime as demand requires;
• Adhere to Employees Responsibilities section set forth in Conco's Safety Policies & Procedure Manual

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail;
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic handheld measuring tools;
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks above;
• This position requires an organized individual who is self-motivated;
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and/or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations;
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up Attributes
• Oral Comprehension & Expression The ability to communicate, listen and understand information and direction through spoken words and sentences;
• Written Comprehension & Expression The ability to read, write and understand information and ideas;

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate accepted);
• Must be authorized to work within the United States;
• Five years of related experience in a press operation environment
• Tool & Die experience is a bonus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk and move for extended periods (8+ hours per day)
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in various work environments
• Lifting and carrying tools, equipment, and materials up to 50 lbs (occasionally heavier with assistance)
• Working in outdoor and indoor environments, sometimes in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
• Climbing ladders, scaffolding, or working at heights as needed
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and heavy machinery safely
• Dexterity to perform fine motor tasks, such as wiring, assembling, or troubleshooting equipment
• Driving for extended periods to custom sites, sometimes in remote locations
• Working in confined spaces, such as crawl spaces, attics, or utility areas
• Be aware of and adhere to safety protocols

Work Environment:

The work environment involves manufacturing facilities. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, heavy machinery, and hazardous materials, high pressure equipment, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures. Rotational schedules and extended shifts are common. Safety is a top priority, with rigorous training protocols and PPE may include hard hats, gloves, and high-visibility clothing provided to mitigate risks.
