Senior Software Engineer, AWS ML Accelerators

Salary: $193,300 - 261,500 per year Requirements:

• We have at least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We have at least 5 years of programming experience in one or more software languages.
• We have at least 5 years of experience leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We have at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• We have experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
• We hold a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.

• We develop and own SoC functional models end to end, covering architecture, integration with model or infrastructure components, testing, and debugging.
• We collaborate closely with architecture, RTL design, design verification, emulation, and software teams to build, troubleshoot, and deploy our models.
• We improve the tools we deliver to customers so they can use our SoC models more easily.
• We drive performance enhancements across our models and modeling infrastructure so they scale effectively.
• We build software that is maintainable, extensible, documented, tested, and reusable.

We build C++ and SystemC functional models of custom SoCs that power AWS machine learning servers, supporting internal teams with critical modeling infrastructure and tooling. This role sits within Annapurna Labs at AWS, where we design and deploy large-scale custom silicon and work across multiple internal customer teams. The position can be based in Cupertino, CA or Austin, TX, with a slight preference for Cupertino due to closer collaboration with customer teams.
