Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Surface and Air Surveillance & Command and Control (C2) Operations Subject Matter Expert to support training, analysis, and operational integration efforts.

The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on operational knowledge in building and maintaining a recognized air and surface picture using multiple sensors, communication paths, and tactical data links.

Candidates with operational and instructional experience from the U.S. military, NATO, or similar service organizations are preferred, particularly those who have taught or supported training at a recognized service schoolhouse or training center.

Surveillance Operations Experience Surface Surveillance

Relevant experience may include:

• Harbor, port, or inland waterway surveillance.
• Open-sea or blue-water surveillance.
• Identifying and tracking surface contacts.
• Operating tactical displays.
• Maintaining a recognized maritime picture.
• Supporting surface surveillance operations aboard ships or ashore.

Relevant backgrounds may include:

• Navy Operations Specialist (OS).
• Coast Guard surveillance operators.
• Tactical Operations personnel.
• Equivalent operational positions supporting surface and air picture development.

Air Surveillance

Relevant experience may include:

• Detection, identification, and tracking of air objects.
• Maintaining a Recognized Air Picture (RAP) .
• Air surveillance operations within command centers or Joint Operations Centers.
• Command and Control operations.
• Weapons or battle management.
• Air defense and airspace management.

Command and Control (C2) Experience

Qualified candidates should have experience integrating:

• Surface and air sensors.
• Voice and data communications.
• Tactical data links.
• Multi-domain operational inputs.
• Information into a unified operational picture.

Required Qualifications

• Prior military service with the Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or NATO .
• Direct experience in surface and/or air surveillance operations.
• Experience identifying, tracking, and managing air and surface objects.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a Common Operational Picture (COP) .
• Demonstrated operational proficiency regardless of rank or title.
• Familiarity with Automatic Independent Surveillance , marine radar products, and maritime safety.
• Familiarity with:
  • ADS-B
  • Radio Direction Finding
  • Electronic Support Measures (ESM)
  • Electronic Intelligence (ELINT)

Preferred Qualifications

• Instructor experience at a recognized military schoolhouse or training center.
• Navy Operations Specialist (OS) background.
• Coast Guard surveillance operator experience.
• Air Force C2 or air surveillance experience.
• Marine Corps Tactical Operations experience.
• Joint or multi-domain operational experience.
• Training development experience.
• Simulation experience.
• Operational analysis experience.
