PositionSteward  Essential FunctionsWash and properly store all cooking utensils, china, flatware and glassware. III. Additional ResponsibilitiesMaintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times as detailed in employee handbookWash all china, flatware and glassware in the dish machineWash all pots and pans by hand in the pot sinkClean food production, serving and holding equipmentPolish all platters, serving pieces and chafing dishesBurnish all flatwareCollect trash from kitchen areas, empty garbage cans, wash and re-line with new bagsExamine garbage for flatware, dishes and glasswareWash and polish all surfaces in kitchen, including shelves, cabinets, tables, coffee urns, refrigerators, walk-ins, equipment, etcNotifies Lead Steward, Sous Chef and/or Chef of all product shortages and equipment maintenance issuesSweep and mop kitchen floorsClean and organize loading dock areaStore all club property in proper areasClean dish machine as needed and after each shiftPerforms necessary clean-up and sanitation maintenance activities for food preparation equipment and storage facilitiesPerform other tasks such as assisting food preparation, putting away deliveries, cleaning coolers, freezers, and store roomsIV. Physical Requirements Able to lift forty pounds overhead safely and repetitively without struggling (example, lifting a full 5 gallon bucket onto a high shelf)Able to stand for four hours without requiring a breakAble to stoop, bend over and squat for extended periods of time (example, repetitively retrieving items stored low or cleaning low shelves and awkward to reach places) Able to perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time (example, mixing products by hand, using a kitchen knife, or operating a food slicer)V. Reports to No supervisory duties are included in this position. VI.
