Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Schedule: Monday - Friday / Day (6:30/7:00am - 3/3:30pm) / One weekend day per month

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 30

Requirements:

• Degree from an ACOTE accredited school
• Current state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy in Maryland
• One (1) year hospital acute care experience
• Strong documentation skills in an EMR (preferably hospital-based system)
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Flexibility, time management, and strong communication skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality occupational therapy services according to treatment plans for patients.
• Document with web-based software and documentation system (EMR).
• Meet all clinical, departmental, and regulatory expectations.
• Provide patient and family education as well as communication with hospital staff.
• Participate in a positive work environment to promote teamwork and communication.
