Director OF Pharmacy

Lake Hills Pharmacy is hiring a Director of Pharmacy Operations in Austin, Texas. This role is on-site in Austin, Texas. Not remote, not hybrid. The work runs day to day across our pharmacy and Nimbus headquarters, and you need to be physically present for it. Applicants must already live in the Austin metro area, or be relocating here before their start date. Lake Hills is the vertically integrated 503A compounding pharmacy behind Nimbus OS, the personalized medicine platform built by Nimbus Healthcare. Sterile and non-sterile, NABP-accredited, licensed in 39 states, 12 years at the bench. We are the fulfillment backbone for all three Nimbus doors: Nimbus Healthcare direct to consumer, Nimbus Providers for clinics, and Nimbus Teams for employers. We also serve outside telehealth partners and long-term care facilities. 47,000+ patients and climbing. Most health platforms stop at the prescription. Ours does not. When a provider approves a dose change, the bench sees it the same day. That is a hard promise to keep at scale. Our operational complexity is outpacing our infrastructure, and we need a senior pharmacy operations leader to take the reins. WHAT YOU WILL OWN Day-to-day pharmacy operations: compounding labs (sterile and non-sterile), LTC fulfillment, retail, and clinic order entry Multi-state compliance and licensing. 39 states today, targeting 48+ by year-end Vendor and platform integrations: Pharmetika, ShipEngine, lab partners, and Nimbus OS itself Staffing, training, and performance management across roughly 30 pharmacy team members, alongside our Pharmacy Manager and Compliance Lead Workflow design and SOP development for a high-growth, high-compliance environment Space planning and capacity expansion. We are outgrowing our current footprint WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 7+ years in pharmacy operations. Compounding, multi-state, or high-volume retail Pharmacist license strongly preferred (PharmD or RPh). Exceptional non-pharmacist operators with the right background will be considered Systems-oriented. Comfortable with pharmacy management software, API integrations, and workflow automation Working fluency with frontier AI models. If you have used Anthropic's Claude or OpenAI's ChatGPT to actually build something, not just to draft emails, that moves you to the top of the pile A builder. You design what comes next, not just manage what exists A track record of turning operational chaos into repeatable, scalable systems ON THE AI PART, BECAUSE WE MEAN IT We run on agentic workflows. Not as a pilot, not as a line in a deck. This role helps design them, which means the job is not only running pharmacy operations and managing a team. You will be working where pharmacy meets software. We are automating compliance checks, integrating real-time lab data, running clinical decision support through IntelliHealth, and building fulfillment systems that most pharmacies will not touch for another decade.
