Warehouse Forklift Material Handler

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Operator in Romeoville, Illinois. Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour; Additional Pay: $0.75 per hour shift pay. Schedule: A Shift – Sunday – Tuesday 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Pay & Benefits Warehouse positions paid weekly. On the job paid training. Safety gear provided. State‑of‑the‑art equipment. Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting. Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract. Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products; load/unload trucks. Manage day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading. Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One (1) year or more of warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred. Valid forklift operator's license. Strong verbal & written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in a diverse work environment. Highly thorough and dependable. Good attendance record and punctuality. High degree of initiative and accuracy under pressure. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods. Adherence to health & safety methods. Availability for flexible schedule and various work shifts.
