Responsibilities Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, assists in evaluation and development of the rehabilitative plan of care and in period re-evaluations as required. Educate patients and caregivers on proper techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent injuries Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress notes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care Guide and instructs patients in prescribed therapeutic self-care and creative activities that are directed toward improving independence and functioning. Attend and participate in department staff meetings and case conference meetings. Qualifications: COTA degree from an accredited program A COTA license from applicable state One year of home health experience required Must have knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines. Current CPR certification Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skill proficiency. Ability to use Microsoft Windows. Background Screening Requirement:Employment in Florida is contingent upon completion of a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida AHCA requirements.
