Job Title: Data Center Cleaner Job Description

This role focuses on performing comprehensive cleaning and sanitation duties across a large 36,000 sq. ft. data center and a 16,500 sq. ft. office and administrative area. You ensure that all building surfaces, equipment, and newly installed restrooms and offices are kept clean, safe, and presentable, following established cleaning methodologies and safety standards.

• Clean all surfaces throughout the data center and office areas, including equipment, flooring, ducts, walls, subfloors, windows, and newly installed restrooms and offices.
• Utilize vacuums, mops, and other industrial cleaning equipment to thoroughly clean a variety of surfaces.
• Scrub flooring and carpets to meet defined cleanliness standards and client expectations.
• Perform spot cleaning on equipment, fixtures, and appliances to maintain a professional appearance and hygiene.
• Sweep and remove debris from surface areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Carry out general janitorial functions such as spill cleanup, sanitation, dusting, and trash removal.
• Follow established cleaning methodologies and procedures to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including OSHA standards, while working in a large data center construction environment.
• Participate in safety inspections and promptly report any hazards or incidents.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow first aid and safety practices as required on site.

• Proven experience with industrial cleaning and janitorial duties in commercial or construction environments.
• Hands-on experience with sanitation practices and general cleanup tasks.
• Ability to safely operate industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and floor scrubbers.
• Understanding of cleaning methodologies for different surfaces and materials.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in an industrial or construction setting.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Awareness of first aid and basic safety protocols.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting as required for cleaning tasks.

• Familiarity with safety inspection processes on construction or industrial sites.
• Experience working in large facilities, data centers, or similar high-demand environments.
• Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation of critical areas.
• Reliability and strong work ethic to maintain consistent cleaning standards.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established procedures.
• Comfort working as part of a team in a fast-paced, project-based environment.

The role is based on a large data center construction site that includes a 36,000 sq. ft. data center and a 16,500 sq. ft. office and administrative area. You work in an active construction environment where industrial cleaning equipment and tools are regularly used. Conditions may involve navigating around construction activities, equipment, and materials while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation. The setting requires adherence to safety protocols, the use of appropriate personal protective equipment, and comfort with industrial surroundings and varying site conditions.

This is a Contract position based out of Boardman, OR.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
