Basic Purpose As a Product Specialist with Nexeo Plastics, you will support the Commercial and Product Management teams by managing and evaluating pricing‑related transactions. You will screen price requests, process qualifying requests, and escalates more complex opportunities to Product Managers when pricing exceptions or competitive intelligence is involved. This role assists with product management activities and provides analytical support to improve profitability and inventory performance, including margin review, preparing supplier reporting, and identifying solutions for aged inventory. The Product Specialist will also serve as backup to Product Managers. Primary Responsibilities Maximize overall segment profitability through an in‑depth review of product cost, price supports, freight charges, and customer price. Screen and process incoming price request transactions. Run and analyze supplier reports to support product line management, pricing decisions, and business reviews. Review aged or excess inventory and collaborate with sales and product management to identify strategies and customer opportunities to reduce excess or slow‑moving stock. Provide purchasing input based on forecast, demand, inventory position, and business priorities. Serve as backup support for Product Managers. Other tasks as assigned. Position Qualifications Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent experience. Experience and Skills Experience in Business Warehouse, desirable knowledge of SAP, and Salesforce. Financial business acumen and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook.
