SKILLS REQUIRED:

Primary (Must-Have):

✔️12+ years of Core Java development experience (Java 8 or higher)

✔️Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture

✔️Hands-on development experience with Angular

✔️Proven experience with AWS Cloud services (S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch)

✔️Track record of deploying and supporting applications in an AWS environment

✔️Ability to deliver projects end-to-end and apply standard Java design patterns

Secondary (Good to Have):

✔️Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments

✔️Strong production support skills with the ability to diagnose production issues and defects

✔️Proven track record of conducting Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new technologies

✔️Excellent collaboration and communication skills

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an elite Senior Java Developer for a 12+ month onsite engagement in McLean, VA. This critical role demands a seasoned professional with over 12 years of core Java expertise to drive end-to-end project delivery within our cloud-native financial services ecosystem. The ideal candidate will blend strong backend Spring Boot and Microservices capabilities with modern frontend Angular experience and robust AWS cloud-native deployment skills.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

✔️Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise functionalities using Java/J2EE and modern Java design patterns.

✔️Architect and implement robust microservices and RESTful APIs utilizing the Spring Boot framework.

✔️Develop dynamic, responsive user interfaces and integrate front-end components using Angular.

✔️Build, deploy, and optimize cloud-native applications across AWS services including S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.

✔️Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, proactively diagnosing production issues, fixing defects, and conducting POCs to integrate emerging technologies.
