Accounting Manager

Salary up to $120,000 + bonus Hybrid – onsite 2-3 days a week Accounting Manager We are partnering with a PE-backed waste and recycling company in North Mankato, MN to hire an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function across a growing, multi-location platform. This role is a great fit for an experienced accounting professional who wants to lead a team, stay close to the work, and have real influence over how finance runs across a complex, operationally driven business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the grey and is excited about building and improving processes in a dynamic environment. There is a clear growth path to Controller as the platform continues to grow and acquire. Responsibilities Own month-end, quarterly, and year-end close across multiple locations. Manage daily accounting operations: GL, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets. Prepare accurate financial statements and support budgeting and forecasting. Collaborate with operations on route profitability, cost analysis, and variance reporting. Develop internal controls and ensure GAAP and regulatory compliance. Supervise and mentor accounting team members across multiple sites. Coordinate audit documentation and tax filings. Desired Skills And Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience, 2+ years in a supervisory role. Strong month-end close, GL, and financial statement preparation experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
