Join Our Night Shift ICU Team!

Job Description:

- Shift Type: 12 Hour Nights
- Schedule: Every Other Weekend, First to Float
- Primary Location: St Anne Hospital with potential floats to:
- St. Francis Hospital, Federal Way, WA
- Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, WA
- St. Anne Hospital, Burien, WA
- Float Rate: Enjoy a premium for floating!

Unit Details:
- Total ICU Beds: 10
- Patient Ratios:
- ICU: 2:1 (normal circumstances), 3:1 (stretch)
- PCU: 3:1 (normal), 4:1 (stretch)

Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS

Clinical Expertise Needed:
- Experience with ventilated patients
- Cath lab recovery
- Therapeutic hypothermia

Key Responsibilities:
- Titrate drips, including:
- Sedation (i.e., propofol, versed, fentanyl, precedex)
- Pressors (i.e., levophed, epinephrine, vasopressin, dopamine, dobutamine)
- Diuretics (Bumex)
- Insulin
- Amiodarone

Unit Support:
- 24/7 RT in ICU, equipped with vents, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow
- Remote monitoring techs available
- Charge Nurse on duty 24 hours; house supervisor 1500-0700

Nursing Support:
- Nurse Aide Ratios:
- PCU: 8:1
- ICU: Rarely available

Scheduling Information:
- Self-scheduling: Centralized scheduling available
- Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Rotate with permanent staff
- No call or standby requirement

Orientation:
- Unit/Department specific orientation provided

Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 for shorter assignments

Charting System:
- EPIC
