Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate care nursing to a mixed patient population including med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neurological, and CVA patients
• Charge nurse responsibilities are required ; appropriate pay differential and training provided
• Collaborate and contribute to a supportive teaching environment, including interactions with students and new hires
• Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including an expected weekend rotation of approximately 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs
• Document and manage patient care using electronic health record systems

• Minimum 2 years of RN work experience required
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required upon start
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application/packet submission
• Skills checklist and copy of Nursys/license required for submission
• All gaps in work history exceeding 90 days must be explained

• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records preferred
• Background in telemetry, cardiac, or neurological patient care
