Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Work scheduled shifts with varied hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Support selling initiatives: thank customers, engage with them and their pets, advise on products, and make their experience memorable. Perform duties such as operating cash register, merchandise recovery, participating in freight process, completing plan-o-gram procedures, assembling merchandise, janitorial duties, executing price changes, assisting with loading purchases, ensuring animal safety and care, and completing related documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications No experience required; retail or pet knowledge preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential. Preferred Skills and Abilities Pet/live animal knowledge preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills. Working Conditions Indoor environment with moderate noise; outdoor areas are hard surfaces. Shifts generally range from 4 to over 8 hours. Adherence to safety guidelines is required. Physical Requirements Must have stamina to move throughout the store and outdoor areas. Ability to lift or reach overhead, stand, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders. Operate equipment safely and accurately. Move merchandise and live animals weighing up to 50 pounds.
