Job Description Job Description Job Description We are currently seeking a professional, patient, and empathetic Back Office Medical Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will assist Physicians and clinical staff in the delivery of healthcare by performing a variety of medical and office-related tasks in both the Back and Front Office. Core Job Duties (but not limited to): * Prepare patients for office visits and procedures * Obtain and document brief medical history and reason for visit in the patient's chart * Perform and accurately record vital signs * Submit and follow up on medication prior authorizations with insurance companies * Communicate authorization status with providers, pharmacies, and patients * Assist providers with examinations and procedures as instructed * Assist providers with injections as ordered * Ensure patient demographic and insurance information is accurate * Triage patient phone calls and communicate appropriately with clinical staff Requirements: * Strong written and communication skills * Must have experience working in a Medical Assistant position or directly related field, and at least 1 year working in the Back office * Proficiency with EMR system and excellent computer skills * Is an effective team player who contributes valuable ideas and feedback and can be counted on to meet commitments * Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication that is clear, well-organized, and understanding of audience needs * Bilingual (English required; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred) * Experience in surgical setting preffered but willing to train Qualifications Ability to ... * Work in a fast-paced environment * Multi-task * Provide the highest quality of Customer Service * Has a positive work ethic and inspires others; genuine, caring, and friendly behaviors If you are dedicated to your passion of serving the community and helping others, please take a moment to share your experience and apply by submitting a resume!
