As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. As a local CDL Driver, you will transport goods using a company truck, pick up and deliver boxes and packages, and ensure the accuracy of paperwork. Reporting to a Supervisor, you will follow health and safety policies that comply with company and OSHA regulations. The base hourly rate for this position is $33.12, with additional shift differentials applied depending on the schedule.

• Sun - Wed: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• Sun - Wed: 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun - Wed: 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM
• Thurs - Sat: 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM

How You Create Impact

• Transport, load, and unload parts and materialsincluding hazardous itemsto and from customer sites and warehouses
• Make sure each load matches the order in the yard management system and is safely secured in the truck
• Check vehicles before use and report any mechanical problems right away
• Keep records like delivery logs and shipping documents up to date
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and transportation policies set by our company and customer sites
• Work in all kinds of weather and non-climate-controlled areas; be available for overtime and weekends
• Read and understand work instructions, job aids, and delivery paperwork with attention to detail
• Lift up to 50 pounds and follow safety steps when handling materials
• Pick up and deliver trailers between our company and customer warehouse locations, meeting tight delivery deadlines.
• Help with other warehouse tasks when needed, and take part in random drug and alcohol screenings

What We Would Like You To Bring

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Class A CDL license
• 1+ years of recent, continuous CDL Class A driving experience
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
• Excellent driving record
• Proven experience handling tandem axle tractors and transporting goods using dry van and refrigerated trailers
